A Burst of Energy and Light

From the very first listen, it hit me like a ton of bricks.

That blend of modern metal, ultra-catchy pop choruses, and the band’s signature electro textures just works, perfectly. But above all, Angels Calling radiates an infectious, feel-good energy.

Frontman Markus Videsäter sings straight from the heart, balancing motivation and introspection. David Strääf fires off those irresistible riffs, Johan Swärd layers sleek and powerful electro atmospheres, and David “Viking” Vikingsson keeps it all grounded with his always-punchy grooves.

The single “Monsters in My Head” is an absolute masterstroke, a song about those looping thoughts and inner demons we try to tame, delivered with a soaring, unifying chorus and an unexpected country twist. It’s introspective yet fun, dark yet full of light.

Un shoot d’énergie et de lumière

Dès la première écoute, j’ai pris une claque.

Le mélange de metal moderne, de refrains pop ultra efficaces et de textures électro typiques du groupe fonctionne à merveille. Mais surtout, Angels Calling déborde d’une énergie positive communicative.

Le chanteur Markus Videsäter chante avec le cœur, entre motivation et introspection, David Strääf enchaîne les riffs accrocheurs, Johan Swärd tisse des ambiances électro fines et puissantes, et David “Viking” Vikingsson balance une rythmique toujours percutante.

Le single “Monsters in My Head” est un vrai coup de maître : une chanson sur ces pensées qui tournent en boucle, ces vieux démons qu’on tente d’apprivoiser, mais livrée avec un refrain fédérateur et une touche country totalement inattendue. C’est à la fois introspectif et fun, sombre et lumineux.

Solence pull off quite a feat here, tackling themes of doubt and anxiety while still radiating hope and pure energy. Their mission is crystal clear: bring the fun back to rock’n’roll. And guess what? It works.

As Markus puts it, “Solence is all about having a good time.” And you can feel that from start to finish.

The title track, “Angels Calling,” is, in my opinion, one of the most powerful songs they’ve ever released, epic, emotional, and made for the stage.
Fun fact: they started writing it while touring with The Hu in 2024, inspired by Eastern European folk vibes, an influence you can totally hear in the rhythm and the build-up.

Solence réussit ici un petit exploit : parler de doutes et d’anxiété, tout en transmettant une dose d’espoir et d’énergie. Leur objectif est clair : ramener le fun dans le rock’n’roll. Et ça marche !

Comme le dit Markus : “Solence is all about having a good time”. Et ça s’entend du début à la fin.

Le morceau-titre, “Angels Calling”, est à mon avis un des plus puissants qu’ils aient jamais sortis. Épique, émotionnel, et taillé pour la scène. Fun fact : ils ont commencé à l’écrire en tournée avec The Hu en 2024, inspirés par les sonorités folk d’Europe de l’Est, une influence qu’on sent dans le rythme et la montée en puissance.

A New Chapter for Solence

With this record, the band clearly steps up their game. The sound is bigger, bolder, and more ambitious, polished production that never drowns out the emotion. There’s definitely more maturity here, but also a refreshing sense of freedom. You can tell the four guys had an absolute blast making it, and they just want us to have fun right along with them.

And here’s some great news for fans in France: Solence will be hitting Paris’ Élysée Montmartre on November 26, 2025, opening for Nothing More and bringing Angels Calling to life on stage. Trust me, it’s one show you don’t want to miss, expect to sing, jump, and leave with a huge smile on your face.

Une nouvelle étape pour Solence

Avec ce disque, le groupe franchit clairement une nouvelle étape. Le son est plus ample, plus ambitieux, et la production léchée sans jamais écraser l’émotion. Il y a de la maturité, oui, mais aussi une vraie fraîcheur. On sent que les quatre gars se sont amusés à fond, et qu’ils veulent juste qu’on s’éclate avec eux.

Et bonne nouvelle : Solence passera par la France ! Le groupe sera le 26 novembre 2025 à l’Élysée Montmartre (Paris) en première partie de Nothing more, pour défendre Angels Calling sur scène. Autant dire que ce sera LE rendez-vous à ne pas manquer pour tous ceux qui veulent chanter, sauter et repartir le sourire aux lèvres.

It’s powerful, inspiring, insanely catchy, and above all, genuinely heartfelt. Solence prove that modern metal can be positive, human, and flat-out fun.

It’s a record to play loud, play often, and never get tired of.

C’est puissant, inspirant, ultra catchy, et surtout profondément sincère. Solence prouve qu’on peut faire du metal moderne tout en restant positif, humain et fun.
