The album kicks off with “One More Song” , a perfect warm-up track. It’s loaded with energy and punk vibes right out of the gate. You can already picture it blasting live as the opening song of their next tour.

“End of The Gun” fires off with a barrage of punk riffs, setting the stage for chaos, think crowd-surfing, mosh pits, and all the classic mayhem. It’s a sonic reminder of where their roots lie.

Then there’s “Spit”, an aggressive banger that hits hard and fast. It’s a biting take on a world that’s becoming so automated it borders on the ridiculous, part social commentary, part punk slapstick.

“Lay Down And Die” keeps things simple and sharp. With top-tier production and an infectious groove, it’s the kind of track that gets your head nodding without you even realizing. It offers some real introspection for the new wave of punk rockers.

“Laughing Without Smiling” takes a moodier turn. It plays on contrast, flipping between delicate acoustic verses and raw, abrasive choruses, a spot-on reflection of our robotic routines and the act we put on pretending we’re fine.

“Call Of The Void” brings the pop-punk nostalgia full force, catchy, high-energy, and straight out of a teenage skateboard playlist. Whether you’re back on a board or just walking to class, this one hits a familiar nerve in the best way.

L’album commence sur “One More Song”, un très bon son pour mettre en jambe, énergie et punk sont au rendez vous, je vois déjà ce son en live en intro de concert.

“End of The Gun” commence sur de nombreux riffs punk de quoi s’imaginer les meilleurs pogos dessus et mettre le ton sur les influences du groupe.

“Spit” se place direct comme un banger agressif et nécessaire. La critique d’une société qui s’automatise au point d’en devenir absurde est à la fois brutale et hilarante.

“Lay Down And Die” simple et efficace, une production au top, on bouge la tête aisément, une belle introspection pour les nouvelles génération au punk rock.

“Laughing Without Smiling“, plus mélancolique, joue sur les contrastes, alternant acoustique fragile et refrains abrasifs, parfait reflet de ce quotidien robotisé où l’on fait semblant d’aller bien.

“Call Of The Void” une musique entrainante et catchy de quoi nous rappeler des meilleurs sons pop punk de notre enfance, skate ou sur le chemin du lycée, un son bien nostalgique qui colle à la patte du groupe.

“Can’t Slow Down” , and the title says it all. This track comes in hot and doesn’t let up. It’s short, fast, and absolutely effective. Once it kicks in, you’re along for the ride and there’s no hitting the brakes.

“One Good Reason” opens with a whistle and a massive group shout, “YOUHOU GIVE ME ONE GOOD REASON!” It’s the kind of track that makes you nod your head and walk down the street with a grin on your face. Catchy as hell. It sticks in your brain instantly. I’m obsessed with this one.

“I’ll See You There” brings raw emotion with shouted vocals full of rage and sincerity. That little guitar riff bubbling under the chaos ties everything together perfectly. It flows seamlessly from the high energy of the previous track.

“The Gallows” grooves hard, dripping with biting irony, it’s got that smirk-at-the-edge-of-the-abyss kind of vibe.

Then comes “Quit While I’m Still Ahead”, switching up the pace. It’s the ideal lead-in to the album’s final act, with saturated vocals and a tone that immediately pulls you into its message. You feel every word.

Finally, “Joyride The Pale Horse”, the title track, leans into the abstract. Almost psychedelic, it plays like a bittersweet end credits roll. Laced with strange imagery and subtle death references (just check the music video), it’s the perfect closer for this journey.

“Cant Slow Down” c’est le cas de le dire, la musique part à une vitesse, aussi courte soit elle, elle a son efficacité, on se sent embarqué dedans et on peut plus ralentir.

“One Good Reason” , sifflement et tous en coeur “YOUHOU GIVE ME ONE GOOD REASON” un son parfait pour bouger la tête et marcher dans la rue avec un sourire aux lèvres. Ça rentre simplement dans la tête et c’est super efficace. J’adore ce son.

“I’ll See You There” une voix criée pleines de rage et d’émotions et cette petite guitare en fond qui s’accordent parfaitement à l’agitation. Un enchaînement parfait avec le catchy de la musique précédente.

“The Gallows” groove avec une ironie mordante, un sourire au bord de la corde. Avec un rythme différent

“Quit While Im Still Ahead” se veut parfait pour entamer cette fin d’album, un chant parfait saturé, on rentre facilement dans les paroles et le ton donné.

“Joyride The Pale Horse“, plus abstraite et quasi psychédélique, agit comme un générique de fin doux-amer, avec ses allusions à la mort camouflées dans des images étranges (clip vidéo). Une musique parfaite pour finir cette histoire.

Sonically, it’s richer than it seems at first listen. You can hear the influence of bands like Failure or Quicksand, bringing that thick ’90s grunge texture, but they never let go of the sharp pop-punk bite that put them on the map.

All in all, Heart Attack Man seems ready to drop an album that’s both bold and introspective, blending raw punk rock energy with deeper reflections on what it means to exist in this chaotic world.

Avec Joyride The Pale Horse, Heart Attack Man livre un album dense, viscéral, mais étonnamment fun. C’est une chevauchée entre deux mondes : celui de l’angoisse existentielle et celui d’un second degré punk assumé.

Musicalement, l’album est plus riche qu’il n’y paraît. On sent l’influence de groupes comme Failure ou Quicksand, avec cette épaisseur sonore propre au grunge des 90s, mais sans jamais perdre le mordant pop-punk qui a fait leur réputation.

En somme, Heart Attack Man semble prêt à livrer un album à la fois audacieux et introspectif, mêlant énergie punk rock et réflexions existentielles.
