The show opens with She’s Green. The singer, delicate, tambourine in hand, immediately sets a shoegaze atmosphere. Her hazy voice drifts across songs whose endings lean fully into classic shoegaze territory.

The band unfolds a cohesive, dreamy shoegaze sound, boosted by a great overall band dynamic. The drummer is absolutely on fire, giving the songs real momentum. Purple One quickly stands out as one of the crowd’s favorites: fuzzy guitars, a fully settled vibe, and the band carrying on in that same dreamy lane. The musicians join in on the back vocals, adding even more haze to the set. Reverb is everywhere. Another crowd-pleasing moment highlights the lead guitar, totally on point, captivating the room. The band mentions they’re from Minnesota and that this is their first tour outside the US. On certain passages, Mandy brings a more aggressive edge, much to the audience’s delight.

Le concert s’ouvre avec She’s Green. La chanteuse, délicate, armée d’un tambourin, installe immédiatement une ambiance shoegaze. Sa hazy voice s’étend sur des morceaux dont les fins sont « bien shoegaze ».

Le groupe déroule un dreamy shoegaze très cohérent, soutenu par une super dynamique collective. Le batteur est « chaud », et cela donne une vraie impulsion aux morceaux. Purple One s’impose rapidement comme l’un des favoris du public : guitares fuzzy, ambiance installée, et le groupe poursuit dans un registre toujours dreamy. Les musiciens s’associent pour les back vocals, accentuant le caractère vaporeux du set. La reverb est omniprésente. Un autre moment apprécié du public met particulièrement en valeur la lead guitar, « on point », qui enchante la salle. Le groupe rappelle qu’il vient du Minnesota et qu’il s’agit de son premier tour en dehors des US. Sur certains passages, Mandy apporte une touche plus violente, pour le plus grand plaisir du public.

The twins from Ontario return to London with their grunge-tinged shoegaze. The impact is immediate: the band electrifies the room with Drain and its shouted “YEAH!”. The stage atmosphere is deeply atmospheric, fog, haze, no frills, minimal lighting. Next comes Pill to Swallow: the guitars shift tone slightly while Phoenix hits “fast and concisely.” A real standout moment. Most of the songs played tonight come from their latest EP, including Naive. Someone2Me, a fan favorite, sets the crowd off. The bassist’s dexterity fires everyone up, and the cohesion between the musicians is undeniable. The end of the track is punctuated by drum hits that resonate incredibly loud. Haunt You Still, your personal favorite, has an outro that absolutely rips, one of the highlights of the set.

With 16/25, whose theme (grooming) aligns completely with the band’s ethos, the intensity rises again. “This one goes hard.” Phoenix is unstoppable. Things calm down a little with Love Song, followed by Heaven, where Phoenix’s beautiful voice is brought to the forefront. Then comes Uzumaki, a classic. The ending is a huge musical moment, with screams and the singer’s acrobatics. Take It Off instantly kicks the energy back up, the crowd ignites once more. The concert closes with BWBB, a staple at this point. Mercedes uses the moment to speak out in support of the Palestinian cause, underlining the band’s activist identity. “Goes hard af.” Softcult fights against sexism, homophobia, racism, misogyny… all with fire, anger, rebellion against the system, fuzzy guitars, heavy reverb, thick distortion, and dreamy tunes.

Les jumelles venues d’Ontario reviennent à Londres avec leur shoegaze teinté de grunge. L’entrée en matière est immédiate : le groupe électrifie la salle avec Drain et ses cris « YEAH! ». La plupart des chansons jouées ce soir proviennent de leur dernier EP, notamment Naive.
