With Bored At My Grandmas House opening the night, the promise was clear, an evening suspended in midair, filled with dreamy guitars, luminous melancholy, and half-whispered confessions. And that promise was kept.

From the opening notes of Bones, the crowd is all in: heads gently swaying, carried by her airy voice and those shimmering guitars. There’s a melancholy in the air, but it never weighs heavy, more like a soft, floating cloud wrapping everyone up.

The setlist pulls generously from her three standout albums (Sometimes, Forever, Color Theory, Clean), offering a beautiful range of moods. Lost, performed in a stripped-down version with just Sophie and two guitarists, then later solo after Still Clean, becomes one of the show’s most intimate moments. She’s there, vulnerable, close, completely sincere. And the entire room holds its breath.

The sound mix is spot on, and the lighting gently enhances the atmosphere without ever distracting from it. You can feel the intention: to stay close to the core of the songs.

Between tracks, Sophie Allison keeps things low-key, a quiet “thank you” here, a shy smile there. It fits perfectly with the spirit of the show: simplicity, sincerity, and a kind of quiet intimacy with the crowd.
And yet, the connection is strong. The audience listens intently, responds with warmth, and joins in singing Your Dog, an emancipation anthem that’s become a modern classic. One of the only moments where the energy spills over, just before a short encore.

The night wraps with Evergreen and Don’t Ask Me, a perfect ending to this tender, intimate chapter. Warm applause follows, not wild, but heartfelt. As if everyone instinctively knew: this kind of music is meant to be felt gently.

Le volume sonore est parfaitement dosé, et les lumières viennent juste souligner, jamais détourner l’attention. On sent une vraie volonté de rester au plus près de l’essence des morceaux.

Entre les titres, Sophie Allison reste discrète. Un “merci” par-ci, un sourire timide par-là. Une attitude en parfaite cohérence avec l’esprit du show : simplicité, sincérité, et un lien presque pudique avec le public. Et pourtant, ce lien est fort. Le public écoute avec attention, réagit avec tendresse, et chante en cœur sur Your Dog, hymne d’émancipation devenu classique. L’un des rares moments où l’énergie déborde, avant un court rappel.

Le concert se termine sur Evergreen et Don’t Ask Me, conclusion parfaite à cette parenthèse sensible. Des applaudissements chaleureux, pas hystériques. Comme si tout le monde avait compris que cette musique-là se savoure avec délicatesse.
