On Saturday, April 4th, 2026, La Cigale was completely sold out for Novelists’ Paris show, with TSS and Vianova rounding out the lineup. Put together by The Link Productions, the night already looked like a big deal on paper, and it absolutely delivered. From start to finish, it hit all the right notes, blending raw эмоtion, unexpected moments, and a perfectly paced build-up that kept the energy climbing the whole way through.

Le samedi 4 avril 2026, La Cigale affichait complet pour la date parisienne de Novelists, entouré de TSS et Vianova. Une soirée organisée par The Link Productions qui s’annonçait déjà exceptionnelle sur le papier, et qui a tenu toutes ses promesses, entre émotions, surprises et montée en puissance parfaitement maîtrisée.

At 7:15 PM, Vianova kicked off the night with a set that was as disorienting as it was captivating. Having been building momentum for a few years now, the German band proved they’re on a serious rise, especially off the back of Hit It!, one of 2025’s standout releases. Dressed head-to-toe in white and beige, they immediately locked in a strong visual identity. The autotune-heavy intro of “Squier Talk” caught part of the Paris crowd off guard, there were a few puzzled reactions, but it didn’t take long before crushing riffs came in and shut down any doubts. The contrast was striking, especially with the vocalist: his powerful screams clashing with an almost refined look, suit, ushanka, and sunglasses included. Their sound is layered and unpredictable, jumping between vocoder effects, soaring piano sections, clean vocals, and bursts of sheer aggression. During “Obsolete,” the room shifted completely, the crowd moved closer, wrapped around each other, and sang their lungs out in a suspended, almost unreal moment. “Wheel of Fortune” carried that same strange, magnetic vibe forward, blending metallic intensity with a danceable pulse under deep red lighting that felt straight out of a movie scene. A bold opener that definitely left a mark.

À 19h15, Vianova ouvre la soirée avec une proposition aussi déroutante que fascinante. Présents depuis quelques années sur la scène, les Allemands confirment ici leur ascension fulgurante, portée notamment par “Hit it!” , un album marquant de 2025. Entièrement vêtus de blanc et beige, ils imposent immédiatement une esthétique forte. L’introduction de “Squier Talk” , portée par de l’autotune, laisse d’abord perplexe une partie du public parisien, quelques réactions se font entendre, mais très vite les riffs viennent balayer les doutes. Le contraste est saisissant, notamment face au chanteur dont le scream puissant tranche avec son allure presque élégante, costume, chapka et lunettes de soleil compris. Leur univers est riche, oscillant entre vocoder, envolées de piano, passages chantés et moments de pure violence. Sur “Obsolete” , la salle se transforme, le public se rapproche, s’enlace, chante jusqu’à l’essoufflement dans un moment suspendu. “Wheel of Fortune” prolonge cette sensation étrange et captivante, entre ambiance métallique et énergie dansante sous une lumière rouge qui donne presque l’impression d’assister à une scène de film. Une ouverture audacieuse, qui marque les esprits.

At 8:10 PM, TSS took over and completely switched things up. The impact was immediate, raw, in-your-face, and almost physical. The band came out swinging, driven by Matthieu Kirby’s standout performance, whose stage presence instantly locked in the crowd’s attention. The chemistry with John Fine worked flawlessly, as he shifted between guitar and lead vocals, keeping the set moving with a constant sense of momentum. What really hit was how diverse their sound is, blending techno and hyperpop influences with J-rock vibes and a heavy, no-nonsense metal edge. Every track felt like a different side of the band, yet it all stayed tight and cohesive. Even going in without knowing much of their catalog, it was impossible not to get pulled in. The energy was contagious, the execution was on point, and by the end, it just made sense, they’re the kind of band you need to see again. Good thing they’ve already got a return date lined up at Petit Bain in 2027.

À 20h10, TSS prend le relais et change totalement de registre. L’impact est immédiat, frontal, presque physique. Le groupe frappe fort, porté par la performance impressionnante de Matthieu Kirby, dont la présence scénique capte instantanément l’attention. La dualité avec John Fine fonctionne à merveille, oscillant entre guitare et chant lead, apportant une dynamique constante au set. Ce qui surprend le plus, c’est la richesse de leur univers, mêlant des influences techno et hyperpop à des sonorités J-Rock et à un metal brutal et efficace. Chaque morceau semble proposer une nouvelle facette du groupe, sans jamais perdre en cohérence. Même en découvrant presque entièrement leur discographie sur scène, difficile de ne pas être happé. L’énergie est communicative, la maîtrise est évidente, et l’envie de les revoir, déjà annoncée pour le Petit Bain en 2027, s’impose naturellement.

All eyes were locked on the stage as Florestan Durand and Pierre Danel stepped out to kick things off with “All For Nothing”. Then Camille Contreras appeared, wearing a shimmering pink dress, and the entire Cigale just lost it. The floor started shaking, the crowd erupted, and a wave of emotion swept through the room. There was something genuinely powerful about that moment, the closeness with the crowd, families in the audience, and that unmistakable feeling of watching a band level up right in front of you. The announcement earlier that morning of their upcoming Olympia show was still fresh in everyone’s mind, and suddenly, it all clicked.

The set flowed seamlessly between raw power and vulnerability. During “C’est la vie”, the crowd was caught completely off guard when Matteo Gelsomino joined them on stage. The exchange between Camille and Matteo was something special, almost frozen in time, carried by Pierre Danel’s guitar. The room held its breath, soaking in a moment of pure emotion before everything kicked back into high gear. After “In Heaven” and a short break, Camille returned in a black outfit, signaling a clear shift in intensity. The vibe got heavier, darker, more aggressive. “Erre” and “Okapi” turned the pit into a full-on wave, with the floor literally shaking under the crowd’s jumps. On “Say My Name”, the band called for crowd surfers, and the response was instant. A sea of bodies flowed across the venue, carried by fans all the way to the barricade. Camille, guitar in hand, watched it all with a mix of pride and awe, while the entire room sang in unison.

Closing on “Coda”, the Cigale tipped fully into a shared trance. This wasn’t just a live show, it felt like a celebration. A band stepping into a new era, a French scene making serious noise, and a crowd showing up with unmatched intensity.

Ce concert dépasse largement la simple performance live, c’est une véritable célébration, celle d’un groupe qui grandit, d’une scène française qui s’impose, et d’un public qui répond présent avec une intensité rare.

Ce 4 avril 2026 restera comme une soirée charnière, où chaque groupe a su imposer son identité tout en contribuant à une montée en puissance parfaitement orchestrée.
