The boundless energy of English hardcore band Guilt Trip electrified the crowd from the very first track, “Fallen At My Feet“. The rap-tinged hardcore mix captivated with powerful rhythms and a growing intensity, brutal, singular, and powerful rhythms. They move on from tracks like “Sweet Dreams” and the eponymous “Guilt Trip“. The pit is receptive, with plenty of movement. A riot of pits and cervicals moving in all directions. They finish their set with “Thin Ice“, an explosion of savagery.

They set the stage on fire as soon as they took to the stage with “Angels Weep“, a song in which the singer announces that “when I say jump, you jump!“. This American band from Dayton isn’t here to make up the numbers, and you can spot quite a few fans in the pit. Their performance was marked by some intense moments, notably on “Ritual” where the moshpit was in turmoil, and on “Reasons“, a feat with the merch guy – I don’t know which band he’s from, if any, but I want to know, because he’s got an incredible voice. The band dedicate the track “Chemical” to the women in the audience, which is my least favorite song. On “Sacrifice“, the room split in two at their request for a wild moshpit, setting the stage for the next band.

Ce groupe américain originaire de Dayton, n’est pas là pour faire de la figuration, d’ailleurs on repère dans la fosse pas mal de fans. Leur performance a été marqué par des moments intenses, notamment sur “Ritual” où le moshpit était en ébullition, sur “Reasons“, ça feat avec le gars du merch, je ne sais pas de quel groupe il est issu, s’il y en a un, mais je veux savoir, car il a une voix incroyable. Le groupe dédie le titre “Chemical” aux femmes du public, raté en ce qui me concerne, c’est la chanson que j’aime le moins. Sur “Sacrifice” la salle s’est séparée en deux à leur demande pour un moshpit déchainé, préparant ainsi le terrain pour le groupe suivant.

The metalcore band from Marseille put on a memorable performance, with top-quality sound and impeccable technical mastery. A huge led V appears on stage, and euphoria ensues in the room. This European tour is sold out, so the room is full and more than enthusiastic.

The 100-million-streaming band has not come to cut any corners, and kicks off their set with “Creature“! Florent‘s voice is mastered, and each of the musicians is technically impeccable. The pit was swept away by each devastating break-down. The audience is so enthralled that I’m thrown out of the pit after “Say No Word“. Flo says, “You know this song, you know the words? Then sing with me”, and we all sing along to the lyrics of “Visage“. On “Suffocate” Flo tells us that this song has never been played on tour (date full privilege) and in the middle of the song Bertrand Poncet joins the band for a feat. On “Rainfall“, everyone in the pit becomes one body. We’re treated to a quality encore with the title track “Lost in a Wave” and “Self-Made Black Hole“, which marks a huge rampage in the room for the final stretch of this concert.

Flo gives a huge thank-you for the audience’s energy and expresses the fact that it’s scarcely believable, then finishes by thanking his entire team. The evening ended on a note of anticipation, with the announcement of a Paris date in 2025 for the release party of the next album.

It was an evening not to be missed, if you missed it… poor you!

Le groupe marseillais de metalcore a offert une prestation mémorable, avec un son de grande qualité et une maîtrise technique irréprochable. Un énorme V en led apparaît sur scène et c’est l’euphorie dans la salle. Cette tournée européenne est sold out, donc la salle est full et plus qú’enthousiaste.

Le groupe au 100 millions de streaming n’est pas venu pour faire dans la dentelle et commence leur set avec le titre “Creature“! Florent a une voix maîtrisée comme chacun des musiciens est techniquement irréprochable. La fosse a été emportée par chaque break-down dévastateur. Le public est conquis et fou, tant est si bien que je suis comme éjectée de la fosse après le titre “Say No Word“. Flo nous lance “tu connais cette chanson, tu connais les paroles ? Alors chante avec moi ” et c’est tous en cœur que nous chantons les paroles de “Visage“. Sur le titre “Suffocate” Flo nous dit que cette chanson n’a jamais été joué en tournée (date full privilège) et au milieu de la chanson, Bertrand Poncet rejoint le groupe pour un feat. Sur “Rainfall” tous les gens de la fosse ne forment plus qu’un seul corps.

Nous avons le droit à un rappel de qualité avec les titres “Lost in a Wave” et “Self-Made Black Hole” qui marquent un énorme déchaînement dans la salle pour la dernière ligne droite de ce concert. Flo balance un immense merci pour l’énergie du public et exprime le fait que c’est à peine croyable, puis finit par remercier toute son équipe. La soirée s’est conclue sur une note d’anticipation, avec l’annonce d’une date à Paris en 2025 pour la release party du prochain album.

Ce fut donc une soirée à une pas rater, si vous êtes passé à côté … pauvre de vous !
