Lady Gaga, Paris, Accor Arena – November 18 & 20, 2025

A world you never want to escape:

Four Paris dates for Mother in the capital, and I’m lucky enough to attend two of them, two shots of pure energy. It’s my first time finally seeing her live; the only other time I had tickets for one of her Paris shows, it ended up being canceled due to her health issues.
So… where do I even start?

Well, Lady Gaga turned the Accor Arena into a full-on gothic theater, delivering two breathtaking 2.5-hour shows: a jaw-dropping spectacle, staging worthy of a grand opera, and a setlist swinging between iconic hits, fresh reinterpretations, and tracks from her latest album, Mayhem.

The moment you step into the Accor Arena, the energy is off the charts. Fans are buzzing, and thanks to a dedicated website, everyone can send messages that loop on the giant screen inside the venue. You see love notes, song quotes, tributes to Gaga, creating a shared moment even before the show kicks off.

Then, silence. Classical music and operatic vocals rise through the arena, wrapping the crowd in a solemn, almost theatrical atmosphere. We wait, we fidget with anticipation, hearts racing. And suddenly, on the big screen, Gaga appears, sitting and writing with a quill on parchment for nearly fifteen minutes. The slow, poetic sequence builds a gripping sense of suspense, as if she’s guiding us into a world of her own. Her world. Her universe. And somehow, a little bit ours too.

Un univers dans lequel on ne veut s’en échapper :

Quatre dates parisienne pour Mother dans la capitale, et j’ai la chance d’assister à deux des quatre dates, deux doses d’énergie pure. Première fois que je vais enfin pouvoir la voir, la seule fois où j’avais eu mes billets pour un de ses concerts parisiens, ce dernier avait dû être annulé suite à ses problèmes de santé. 
Alors par où commencer ?
Et bien, Lady Gaga a transformé l’Accor Arena en théâtre gothique, offrant deux shows de 2h30 à couper le souffle : spectacle époustouflant, mise en scène digne d’un opéra, et une setlist qui oscille entre tubes cultes, réinterprétations inédites et morceaux du dernier album, Mayhem.

Dès l’arrivée à l’Accor Arena, l’ambiance est électrique. Les fans sont surexcités, et grâce à un site dédié, chacun peut envoyer un message qui apparaît en boucle sur l’écran géant de la salle. On voit défiler des mots d’amour, des citations de chansons, des hommages à la chanteuse, créant une communion avant même que le spectacle commence.
Puis, le silence. La musique classique et des airs d’opéra s’élèvent dans la salle, enveloppant le public d’une atmosphère solennelle, presque théâtrale. On attend, on trépigne, le cœur battant. Et soudain, sur le grand écran, apparaît Gaga, assise, écrivant des mots à la plume sur un parchemin, pendant près de quinze minutes. Ce moment, lent, poétique, installe un suspense intense, comme si la star nous préparait à entrer dans un monde à part. Son monde. Son univers. Mais aussi un peu le nôtre.

The concert finally kicks off, and the pacing is perfectly fine-tuned: every act, every costume change, every transition between songs feels crafted like a scene from a play or an opera. The stage outfits and set designs are each more striking than the last, gothic gowns, futuristic armor, dresses made of light. Gaga delivers a five-act show, almost a retrospective of her entire body of work, even though the latest album takes center stage, since she performs it from start to finish.

This insane, almost obsessive level of detail shows at every moment: throughout most of the show, Gaga confronts her double, her shadow, her past selves, a constant hall-of-mirrors performance blending theater, music, and art.

The electronic edge is everywhere, with interludes and reworked versions of her hits, like the mind-blowing Gesaffelstein remix of “Abracadabra”: a dark, pulsing reimagining that electrifies the crowd and gives the track a whole new vibe, darker, more techno, completely hypnotic.

The entire audience becomes part of the show: every person receives a light-up bracelet that reacts throughout the performance, glowing, shifting colors, or sparkling in sync with the music. It makes you feel even more embedded in the experience, and it’s stunning to watch: the Accor Arena turns into an ocean of lights, a living jewel box for Gaga’s performance.

But the standout moment for me is “Paparazzi”: Gaga, leaning on crutches, struggling to walk as if injured, delivers an ultra-intimate, dramatic acoustic version. The crowd holds its breath, hanging onto each note, as she embodies fragility, pain, but also strength and power with palpable intensity.

And the surprises keep coming: during “Shallow”, another highlight of the night, Gaga steps into a glowing boat that drifts slowly along the stage, turning Bercy into a river of light. This rendition, raw, theatrical, absolutely heartbreaking, melts the audience. Gaga’s voice, slightly raspy after two hours of performing, carries a kind of raw truth, almost delicate.

The piano moments, like “Million Reasons” or “Die With a Smile”, offer an intimate, almost cathedral-like pause where the star reveals herself without a single layer of artifice. The show’s finale, “Bad Romance”, is straight-up fireworks: pyrotechnics, feathered gloves, massive choreography, Gaga transformed into a monstrous yet mesmerizing chimera. By the end, we’re exhausted, but completely blown away.

Le concert débute enfin, et le rythme est parfaitement orchestré : chaque acte, chaque changement de costume, chaque transition entre les morceaux est pensé comme une scène de théâtre ou d’opéra. Les tenues de scène et les décors sont tous plus remarquables les uns que les autres, entre robes gothiques, armures futuristes et robes de lumière : Gaga nous livre un spectacle en cinq actes, un résumé de toute son œuvre, même si le dernier album est fortement mis en avant puisqu’il est joué intégralement.
Ce travail de fou, presque obsessionnel, se ressent à chaque instant : quasi tout le spectacle voit Gaga affronter son double, son ombre, ses incarnations passées, dans un jeu de miroirs permanent, entre théâtre, musique et performance.
La dimension électro est omniprésente, avec des interludes et des nouvelles versions de ses tubes, comme l’incroyable remix de Gesaffelstein sur « Abracadabra » : une relecture dark et pulsante qui électrise la foule et donne au morceau une toute autre dimension, plus sombre, plus techno, et totalement hypnotique.

Tout le public participe au spectacle : chaque spectateur reçoit un bracelet lumineux qui interagit tout au long du show, s’allumant, changeant de couleur ou scintillant au rythme des morceaux. Cela donne l’impression de faire encore plus partie du spectacle, et c’est magnifique à voir : l’Accor Arena se transforme en un océan de lumière, un écrin vivant pour la performance de Gaga.
Mais le moment le plus marquant reste pour moi, l’interprétation de « Paparazzi » : Gaga, appuyée sur des béquilles, marche difficilement, comme blessée, pour livrer une version acoustique ultra-intime et dramatique. Le public retient son souffle, suspendu à chaque note, alors que la chanteuse incarne la fragilité, la douleur mais aussi la force et puissance avec une intensité palpable. 
La suite réserve d’autres surprises : lors de « Shallow », un autre des moments forts du concert, Gaga embarque dans une barque lumineuse qui glisse lentement le long de la scène, transformant Bercy en un fleuve de lumière. Cette version, poignante et théâtrale, fait fondre la foule : la voix de Gaga, légèrement éraillée par deux heures de show, trouve alors une vérité brute, presque fragile.

Les morceaux au piano, comme « Million Reasons » ou « Die With a Smile », apportent une pause intime, presque cathédrale, où la star se dévoile sans artifice.  La fin du concert, sur « Bad Romance », est un feu d’artifice : pyrotechnie, gants à plumes, chorégraphie grandiose, Gaga en chimère monstrueuse et fascinante. On est rincés mais conquis.

And then, silence. The wait.
Gaga comes back out alone, no makeup, almost bare under the spotlights, without a costume, without any disguise. She takes the mic and, for several long minutes, thanks the audience, her musicians, her dancers, one by one, putting each of them in the spotlight. This simple, genuine moment, where she opens up with gratitude and emotion, will stay etched in my memory as one of the most beautiful parts of the night.

Everything is perfect tonight. Or almost. Unfortunately, the crowd filmed nonstop, sometimes even blocking the stage from the front rows. Since the stage wasn’t very high, seeing all the details of the show was sometimes tricky, even from a great spot. Thankfully, since the concert was filmed from start to finish, it was possible to watch the screens, which were actually a real part of the show.
Still, despite these small drawbacks, the performance stands as one of the best concerts of my life, powerful, moving, with Lady Gaga at the top of her craft, surrounded by an impeccable team of dancers and musicians.

Et puis, le silence. L’attente.
Gaga revient seule, démaquillée, presque nue sous les projecteurs, sans costume, sans artifice. Elle prend le micro, et pendant de longues minutes, remercie le public, ses musiciens, ses danseurs, les uns après les autres, les mettant en lumière. Ce moment, simple et sincère, où elle dévoile sa gratitude et son émotion, restera gravé comme l’un des plus beaux instants de la soirée.

Tout est parfait ce soir. Ou presque. Le public, malheureusement, a filmé sans discontinuer, parfois cachant la scène même en première rangée. La scène n’étant pas très haute, voir les détails du show était parfois compliqué, malgré une position privilégiée.  Fort heureusement, le concert étant filmé de bout en bout, il était possible de regarder les écrans, qui avaient un vrai rôle dans le spectacle d’ailleurs. Pourtant, malgré ces bémols, le spectacle reste l’un des meilleurs concerts de ma vie, à la fois puissant et émouvant, avec une Lady Gaga au sommet de son art, entourée d’une troupe de danseurs et de musiciens irréprochables.
