The concert oscillated between vulgarity and mediocrity, without offering the slightest creative or scenic escape. Not a sentence was uttered without the words “dick” or “fuck”, turning each song into a monotonous, repetitive litany. The band simply paced back and forth on stage, with no staging or attempt to captivate the audience other than through verbal provocation.
Audience enthusiasm was visibly mixed. Some seemed to take pleasure in the vulgarity, while others displayed a palpable indifference, if not discomfort, at this outpouring of gratuitous coarseness.
At the end of the last song, the singer tried to rekindle one last spark of energy by diving into the pit to initiate a small pit. Once again, he asked the audience to shout “fuck” to say goodbye, bringing to a close a concert that will be remembered not for its artistic quality, but for its glaring lack of substance and respect.

This American punk rock band from Tampa, placed in the middle of the evening, managed to galvanize the crowd from the very first seconds of their set.
Kicking off with the title track “Parasite“, the atmosphere immediately ignited. The pit jumped right from the start, creating an infectious, electric atmosphere. The second track amplified this energy, to the point where the ground shook under the feet of the trance-like fans.
One of the highlights of the evening came during “I’ll Sleep When I’m Dead“. Singer Cody Carson‘s enthusiasm and boundless energy almost caused an incident when his mic stand came dangerously close to guitarist Zach DeWall‘s face. Cody took the time to apologize to DeWall, turning the moment into a joke with the audience, saying that he had “almost killed his band”.

Even without Brian‘s presence, I Prevail delivered a memorable performance that will remain etched in the minds of all present. The atmosphere was at its height even before the band took to the stage. As the loudspeakers blared Linkin Park‘s “In The End“, the entire pit united in a moment of intense communion, singing in unison and creating an electrifying atmosphere.
When I Prevail took to the stage, there was no time to lose. They kicked off hostilities with “There’s Fear in Letting Go“, quickly followed by “Body Bag” and “Self-Destruction“. The crowd went wild, carried away by the band’s raw energy.
Eric took a moment to address the crowd, expressing his gratitude and emotion at the palpable enthusiasm. He asked who had already seen the band live and who was discovering them for the first time, warmly welcoming everyone to the I Prevail family. He also reassured everyone about Brian‘s state of health, bringing a moment of comfort to the audience.

The set continued with “Bad Things“, triggering the first slams of the evening. Between songs, videos were played to announce the following titles, contributing to an incredible visual mise-en-scene. These videos, added to the ambient videos projected during each track, created an immersive and visually arresting experience.
After a few seconds’ pause with the audience chanting “I Prevail” in chorus, Eric surprised everyone by declaring in French that he adored us. He then “reluctantly” announced that they would be performing their famous cover of Taylor Swift‘s “Blank Space“, asking for the audience’s help in singing along. The performance was outstanding, ending with impressive growls from the depths of hell, which demonstrated Eric‘s vocal power.
“Deep End” put Dylan in the spotlight with a sublime visual ambience, and the opportunity to leave the guitar on this track to come closer to us, he brilliantly filled in for Brian from the start of the concert. Eric then introduced “Breaking Down“, explaining the personal importance of this song and urging the audience to commune together, uniting voices for a poignant moment when he turned the microphone towards the audience to sing together those words that are repeated at the end of the track: “I really like myself”.

La performance a été exceptionnelle, se terminant par des growls impressionnants venu du tréfonds des enfer, qui ont démontré toute la puissance vocale d’Eric.
“Deep End” a mis Dylan sous les projecteurs avec une ambiance visuelle sublime, et l’opportunité de quitter la guitare sur ce morceau pour venir au plus près de nous, il a assuré avec brio le remplacement de Brian depuis le début du concert. On “Choke“, Eric called out to the mosh pit crowd, calling them brothers, before launching into “Hurricane“. The room split in two for an impressive circle pit, with Eric whispering “RUN” just before a monumental pit explosion.
The concert came to a climactic close with “Bow Down” and then “Gasoline“, where the band managed to get the whole room to sit up before an explosive final mosh pit. Without a doubt, one of the best concerts of the year, leaving the audience amazed and eager to relive such an experience.
