Halfives, a band hailing straight from Italy with the powerhouse Linda Battilani leading the charge, brought a mix of alt-rock with modern vibes and old-school touches. The moment they hit the stage, it was game on: their first track, “Everybody Knows It,” left no doubt about their ability to set the place on fire. The crowd was already singing along, proof that they weren’t just there to warm up the room.

Linda is an absolute beast on stage. She took control right away with a commanding “Paris, make some fuckin’ noise!” and boom, the crowd delivered. Then she dropped “Valkyrie,” and here came the shocker: “Bonsoir Paris, c’est trop bien d’être ici ce soir, et oui, surprise, je parle français.” She grabbed her guitar and gave us a spine-tingling performance.

Halfives, c’est ce groupe venu tout droit d’Italie avec Linda Battilani en tête, la rockeuse italienne qui manie à la fois puissance vocale et charisme. Ils font dans l’alt-rock et mélangent des vibes modernes et des touches plus old-school. Dès qu’ils débarquent sur scène, ça pète : le premier titre, « Everybody Knows It», ne laisse aucun doute sur leur capacité à foutre le feu. Dans le public, on voit déjà des gens chanter les paroles, preuve qu’ils ne sont pas là juste pour chauffer la salle.

Linda est une vraie bête de scène. Elle prend les rênes direct avec un “Paris, make some fuckin’ noise!” et bam, la salle répond à la hauteur. Puis elle balance « Valkyrie » et là, surprise totale : “Bonsoir Paris, c’est trop bien d’être ici ce soir et oui, surprise, je parle français.” Elle prend sa guitare et nous sert un morceau qui te fout des frissons.

The set rolled on with gems like “Vibe,” where Linda threw out, “Raise your hand if sometimes everything sucks!…But not tonight!” and the crowd couldn’t agree more. The highlight came when they covered My Chemical Romance’s “Welcome to the Black Parade”, the room just exploded. Then, a cute moment during “Snake,” when someone in the crowd tossed her a plush snake, and she sang with it draped around her neck. She was so into it, she forgot the setlist and laughed, “I don’t remember the setlist, but it’s all good!” Pure joy erupted during “Rockstar Everyday” as she had the entire crowd singing along from the very first notes.

The finale with “Victim” was just insane. Linda thanked everyone and shouted, “Paris, you’re on fire, I always love playing here, thank youuu!” before setting the stage for the upcoming chaos that was Delilah Bon. Seriously, Halfives had everyone primed for what was next.

Le set continue avec des perles comme « Vibe», où Linda lâche un « Lèves la main si toi aussi tu trouves que des fois tout craint !…Mais pas ce soir !» et ça résonne tellement juste. Gros moment quand ils reprennent « Welcome to the Black Parade » de My Chemical Romance, là c’est l’explosion dans la salle. Et puis, moment mignon sur « Snake » où Linda attrape un serpent en peluche que quelqu’un du public lui lance et elle chante avec autour du cou ! Elle est à fond, tellement qu’elle oublie sa setlist et lâche en rigolant : “Je me souviens pas de la setlist mais tout va bien se passer !”. Gros moment de kiff sur « Rockstar Everyday » où elle fait chanter tout le public avec elle dès les premières notes.

Et enfin, le final sur « Victim» est juste fou. Linda remercie tout le monde et balance un “Paris, vous êtes en feu, j’aime toujours jouer ici alors merciiii !” avant de nous préparer pour le cataclysme Delilah Bon. Sérieux, Halfives a mis tout le monde en condition pour la suite.

Now, Delilah Bon, that’s a whole other beast. The rap-punk alter-ego of Lauren Tate from England, her show was an explosive mix of feminism, rage, and untamed energy. The moment she stepped on stage, you knew it was about to be a warzone. She kicked things off with “Brat,” and the room blew up. A new addition to this year’s show compared to last year at Les Étoiles: drummer Sam William, who brought a heaviness that hit you straight in the gut. EVERYONE was jumping. Delilah didn’t even need to hype the crowd, they were already on fire.

With the second track, “Grown Ass Men,” the energy somehow amped up even more, if that’s possible. The pit was a stormy sea of chaos. Delilah shouted, “Wow, what an energy!!” before diving into “Chiquitita” (yeah, you read that right, even ABBA got the Delilah treatment). Everyone was jumping, both on stage and in the pit, no one stood still!

When she hit “IDL2U!,” the hysteria reached a new level. “Scream with me!” and we didn’t need to be told twice. Then, out of nowhere, Jem burst onto the stage with a bubble gun during “Bad Attitude.” Ruena, the bassist, dove straight into the crowd with Jem, total madness, but the good kind, the kind that makes you feel alive.

During “I Am the Best,” Jem and Delilah shared a wild moment, with Jem feeding Delilah a drink mouth-to-mouth, and the crowd ate it up. Then, things got even crazier with “Drop Dead Delilah.” Jem and Ruena came back in little girl dresses, handing out lollipops to the crowd before jumping into a killer dance routine. Total provocation, but the audience was here for it.

C’est l’alter-ego rap-punk de Lauren Tate, qui vient d’Angleterre, et son show est un cocktail explosif de féminisme, de rage et d’une énergie complètement hors contrôle. Dès qu’elle monte sur scène, tu sens que ça va être la guerre. Elle démarre avec « Brat», et là, la salle explose. Nouveauté par rapport à la date de l’année dernière aux étoiles: un batteur, Sam William, qui apporte une lourdeur qui te frappe direct dans le bide. TOUT LE MONDE saute. Delilah n’a même pas besoin de chauffer la foule, elle est déjà en feu.

Deuxième morceau, « Grown Ass Men», et l’énergie monte encore d’un cran, si c’est possible. La fosse est une mer déchaînée. Delilah lance un “Wow, quelle énergie !!” avant d’enchaîner avec « Chiquitita » (ouais, t’as bien lu, même ABBA prend cher dans son set). Tout le monde saute, que ce soit sur scène ou dans la fosse, personne ne tient en place !

Quand elle balance « IDL2U! », c’est l’hystérie. “Hurlez avec moi !”, et on n’a pas besoin de se le faire dire deux fois. Et là, grosse surprise, Jem débarque sur scène avec un pistolet à bulles pendant « Bad Attitude ». Ruena, la bassiste, SLAM direct dans la foule en compagnie de Jem, c’est juste le chaos absolu, mais du bon chaos, celui qui te fait vibrer de ouf.

Avec « I Am the Best », Jem partage un moment complètement fou en faisant boire Delilah de bouche à bouche, et le public est totalement à fond. Puis, c’est le délire complet sur « Drop Dead Delilah ». Changement de tenue pour Jem et Ruena, qui reviennent avec des robes de petites filles pour distribuer des sucettes au public avant d’enchaîner une chorégraphie démente. La provocation est totale, mais le public est conquis.

“Finally See Me” brought a more intimate moment. Ruena took the mic and asked who in the crowd felt invisible or misunderstood. “Not with us!” she declared. The message was clear: we’re all in this together. Then Delilah found herself alone on stage with Sam for “Volatile,” dedicating the song to her mom, who climbed on stage halfway through. It was an emotional moment.

But it wasn’t over yet. “Freak Alert” had Jem and Ruena storm the stage dressed as cops with flashlights and fake tickets in hand. And then, the big reveal: inflatable penises under their jackets! The crowd lost it when Jem pulled out a giant inflatable penis and tossed it into the pit. Seriously, it was EPIC.

The set continued with “The Internet,” where the LGBTQ+ flag proudly waved on stage and in the audience. Jem and Ruena, perfectly in sync with their choreography, kept the energy cranked up to the max. Then came “War on Women,” with Jem holding up a flag that read “Trans Rights Are Human Rights,” while Delilah waved the pansexual flag. Ruena’s bass had the message: “We Will Not Be Silenced.” The message was loud and clear.

The finale was a straight shot of adrenaline. Between “Epstein” with middle fingers in the air, “Dead Men Don’t Rape” with Delilah dropping a no-holds-barred message: “If you don’t agree with the next lyrics, you don’t get justice,” and the encore “Evil, Hate Filled Female” with Jem and Ruena in white dresses, it was a feminist, in-your-face punch of a performance.

Delilah closed with “Maverick,” thanking the crowd a thousand times over. “Thank you so much again for coming tonight, I love you guys!!!” she repeated, overwhelmed by the crowd’s energy. Paris was on fire, and this night will be remembered for a long, long time.

Sur « Finally See Me », on passe à un moment plus intime. Ruena prend la parole et demande qui se sent invisible ou incompris dans le public. “Pas avec nous !”, qu’elle dit. Le message est clair : on est tous ensemble ici. Puis Delilah se retrouve seule sur scène avec Sam pour «Volatile », et elle dédie la chanson à sa mère, qui MONTE sur scène à mi-chemin. Moment ultra émouvant.

Mais c’est pas fini. « Freak Alert » voit Jem et Ruena débarquer en mode flics avec lampes torches, PV en main. Et là, révélation : sous leurs vestes, des pénis gonflables ! Le public est en plein délire quand Jem sort avec un pénis géant qu’elle balance dans la fosse. Sérieux, c’était juste ÉPIQUE.

Le set continue avec « The Internet », où le drapeau LGBTQI+ flotte fièrement sur scène et dans le public. Jem et Ruena, en mode chorégraphie parfaite, continuent de chauffer tout le monde. Puis on passe à « War on Women », où Jem brandit un drapeau avec « Trans Rights Are Human Rights », pendant que Delilah brandit le drapeau pansexuel. Sur la basse de Ruena, on peut lire : “We Will Not Be Silenced”. Le message est clair et puissant. 

Le final est une pure montée d’adrénaline. Entre « Epstein» avec les majeurs en l’air, « Dead Men Don’t Rape» où Delilah envoie un message sans filtre : “Si vous êtes pas d’accord avec les prochaines paroles, c’est que vous avez rien compris à la justice”, et le rappel “Evil, Hate Filled Female” avec Jem et Ruena en robes blanches, c’est un véritable coup de poing féministe et engagé.

Delilah termine avec « Maverick », remerciant mille fois le public. “Thank you so much again for coming tonight, I love you guys!!!” qu’elle répète encore et encore, émue par l’énergie de la salle. Paris était en feu, et cette soirée restera gravée pour longtemps.
