At 7 PM, 156/Silence kicked off the night with their very first-ever European show, right here in Paris. The Pittsburgh crew had some serious buzz behind them following the success of People Watching, and they absolutely delivered. From the jump, it was straight-up heavy: crushing riffs, a dark, moody vibe, and stripped-down lighting that set a seriously oppressive atmosphere. Even with the room still filling up, the energy was already there, especially during “Target Acquired”, which instantly set off some intense pit action. A big chunk of the crowd was also shouting along to “Better Written Villain”, showing just how much the band has already connected with fans. Frontman Jack Murray was impossible to ignore, commanding, intense, and completely locked in, he pulled all eyes to the stage. A rock-solid opening set that got the night off to a killer start.

À 19h, 156/Silence ouvre la soirée pour sa toute première venue en Europe, et donc à Paris.Le groupe de Pittsburgh était attendu après le succès de “People Watching”, et ils n’ont clairement pas déçu. Dès les premiers morceaux, la brutalité est au rendez-vous : riffs lourds, ambiance sombre, lumière minimale : tout contribue à installer une atmosphère pesante. Malgré une salle encore en train de se remplir, l’énergie est bien présente, notamment sur “Target Acquired” qui fait immédiatement réagir la fosse avec des pits d’une grande intensité. Une bonne partie du public reprend également “Better Written Villain” en chœur, preuve de l’impact du groupe. La présence scénique de Jack Murray est particulièrement marquante : imposant, intense, il capte toute l’attention. Une première partie solide qui lance parfaitement la soirée.

Le groupe anglais propose un metalcore moderne, porté par des refrains accrocheurs qui restent en tête dès la première écoute. Leur set apporte un équilibre parfait entre mélodie et énergie, rendant la transition fluide après la violence de l’ouverture. Une performance efficace qui confirme leur capacité à séduire en live.

It had been 10 years since Memphis May Fire last hit Paris, dating back to their show at La Machine du Moulin Rouge, and you could feel the anticipation in the room. The second the opening notes of “The Sinner” (a 2011 staple) kicked in, the place erupted into a massive wave of collective nostalgia. The crowd screamed every word back at the band, instantly locked in and feeding off the energy. From there, they powered through an intense set packed with huge moments, massive wall of deaths during breakdowns like “Shapeshifter”, and some seriously wild pits breaking out on “Chaotic.” The temperature in the room shot up fast, fueled by a crowd that was all-in from start to finish. Their set felt like a turning point in the night, flipping the atmosphere into full-on, controlled chaos.

Cela faisait 10 ans que Memphis May Fire n’était pas revenu à Paris depuis leur passage à La Machine du Moulin Rouge, et l’attente était palpable.
