When you think of ERA, you immediately recall its mesmerizing, timeless music, carried by powerful choirs and a masterful orchestration. But attending an ERA concert is much more than that. It’s a total sensory experience, a journey through mystical melodies and an immersive stage production.

On February 9, 2024, at the Palais des Congrès, the final concert of ERA’s tour lived up to all expectations. A night filled with emotions, enhanced by breathtaking scenography and a rare connection between the artists and their audience.

Un voyage musical hors du temps

Lorsque l’on parle d’ERA, on pense immédiatement à une musique envoûtante, intemporelle, portée par des chœurs puissants et une orchestration magistrale. Mais assister à un concert d’ERA, c’est bien plus que cela. C’est une expérience sensorielle totale, un voyage à travers des mélodies mystiques et une mise en scène immersive.

Ce 9 février 2024, au Palais des Congrès, le dernier concert de la tournée d’ERA a tenu toutes ses promesses. Une soirée riche en émotions, sublimée par une scénographie à couper le souffle et une communion rare entre les artistes et leur public.

Lubiana: A Journey to Red Africa

The evening opens with Lubiana, a radiant artist who takes us into her universe, blending soul, pop, and African influences. Accompanied by her kora, she presents songs from her album Terre Rouge.

She begins the show with a song dedicated to her ancestors:
“Let’s start with a first journey to Red Africa, a song dedicated to our ancestors!”

Her voice and instrument create a soothing harmony that instantly captivates the audience. Applause erupts.

She follows with a song dedicated to her grandfather, sharing an anecdote about her mixed heritage:
“I am mixed-race, I am French, but I spent my vacations in Cameroon. There, they called me ‘the white girl,’ and I never felt like I truly belonged anywhere. But my grandfather always told me: ‘To know where you’re going, you must know where you come from…’”

Song after song, she wins over the audience. She gently encourages them to sing along, eventually getting even the most hesitant to join in.

With Self Love, she thanks the crowd for their warm welcome:
“I was reminded that, as an opening act, no one knows me or expects me. So, let me introduce myself once again, and this song, I dedicate it to you.”

She closes with Terre Rouge and a final piece dedicated to women. The audience claps spontaneously, carried away by her energy.

A heartfelt and intimate set, paving the way for an even greater musical journey…

Lubiana : Un voyage en Afrique rouge

La première partie est assurée par Lubiana, une artiste lumineuse qui nous embarque dans son univers mêlant soul, pop et influences africaines. Accompagnée de sa kora, elle présente des morceaux de son album Terre Rouge.

Elle ouvre le concert avec une chanson dédiée aux ancêtres :

“Je vous propose un premier voyage en Afrique rouge, qui s’adresse à nos ancêtres avec cette première chanson !”

Sa voix et son instrument créent une harmonie apaisante qui capte immédiatement l’attention du public. Les applaudissements fusent.

Elle enchaîne avec une chanson dédiée à son grand-père, partageant une anecdote sur ses origines métissées :

“Je suis métisse, je suis française, mais j’allais en vacances au Cameroun. Là-bas, on m’appelle la blanche, et du coup, je ne me suis jamais sentie chez moi. Mais mon grand-père me disait : ‘Pour savoir où on va, il faut savoir d’où on vient’…”

Au fil des morceaux, elle gagne la salle. Elle encourage timidement le public à chanter avec elle, et finit par emporter les plus réticents.

Avec Self Love, elle remercie l’audience pour son accueil :

“On m’a rappelé qu’en première partie, personne ne m’attend et ne me connaît. Alors je vous rappelle mon nom et cette chanson, je vous la dédie.”

Elle conclut avec Terre Rouge et un dernier titre dédié aux femmes. Le public tape spontanément dans les mains, transporté par l’énergie de Lubiana.

Un set intime et sincère, qui ouvre la voie à un voyage musical bien plus grand…

• The Mass: Gothic cathedrals light up, intensifying the sacred atmosphere of the song.
• Ameno: Celestial landscapes and golden glows envelop the stage in a mystical ambiance.
• Hurricane: Violent winds and lightning flashes tear across the screen, amplifying the intensity of the performance.
• Abbey Road Blues: A misty manor appears, perfectly complementing the song’s enigmatic vibe.

The stage design is simply stunning. Every detail is meticulously crafted to transport the audience into a dreamlike universe.

Les lumières s’éteignent. Une fine brume envahit la scène, et les musiciens entrent sous un halo bleuté.

Les chanteurs, vêtus de longues capes, prennent place. La chanteuse principale apparaît en arrière-scène, surélevée, dans une somptueuse robe de soirée.

Sur l’immense écran derrière eux, une projection d’images grandioses accompagne chaque morceau, créant une immersion totale dans l’univers d’ERA.

Chaque chanson a son propre tableau visuel :

• Des cathédrales gothiques s’illuminent sur “The Mass”, renforçant l’ambiance sacrée du titre.
• Des paysages célestes et des éclats dorés baignent Ameno, créant une atmosphère mystique.
• Des vents violents et des éclairs déchirent l’écran pendant Hurricane, ajoutant encore plus de puissance à la performance.
• Un manoir brumeux apparaît sur “Abbey Road Blues”, en parfaite adéquation avec son ambiance énigmatique.

La scénographie est à couper le souffle. Chaque détail est pensé pour transporter le spectateur dans un univers onirique.

“Tonight is our final show of the tour. We’re feeling a little emotional, but we hope to have an incredible night with you!!!”

• Ameno: The audience holds its breath at every note. A majestic temple appears in the background, reinforcing the song’s mystical aura.
• Hurricane: Projections of raging winds and swirling clouds make the performance spectacular.

Abbey Road Blues : Une ambiance ténébreuse, un jeu de lumières tamisé et une projection spectrale renforcent le mystère.

A Deep Connection with the Audience

At one point, Eric Lévi pauses for a heartfelt moment:

“When I experience such beautiful moments, I think of the people I love who are no longer with us. So, I want to dedicate this next piece to all the souls we miss.”

The room falls silent. The following song is deeply moving, and I can’t hold back my tears.

Then comes Voxifera (Rock Edit), and it’s an explosion of energy.

The screen bursts into a storm of lights and mystical symbols, amplifying the song’s power. The four lead vocalists stand aligned, and the entire audience rises to their feet.

Eric Lévi playfully engages the crowd:

“I have a feeling you’re in a good mood tonight! We’re going to teach you the chorus, it’s easy, just one word!”

And soon, the whole venue sings in unison.

Une communion intense avec le public

À un moment du concert, Eric Lévi s’arrête pour partager un instant poignant :

“Quand je vis de si beaux moments, je pense aux personnes que j’aime et qui ne sont plus là. Alors je veux dédier ces notes à toutes ces âmes qui nous manquent.”

Le silence se fait dans la salle. Le morceau qui suit est bouleversant, et je ne peux retenir mes larmes.

Puis arrive Voxifera (Rock Edit), et c’est une explosion d’énergie.

L’écran affiche une tempête de lumière et de symboles mystiques, renforçant encore plus la puissance du morceau. Les quatre solistes sont alignés, et toute la salle est debout.

Eric Lévi relance le public :

“J’ai l’impression que vous êtes de bonne humeur ! On va vous apprendre le refrain, vous allez voir, c’est simple, c’est juste un mot !”

Et toute la salle chante à l’unisson.
