The concert kicked off with a vibe so damn smooth it felt like being wrapped in a warm blanket. Heart of Gold walked onto the stage, enveloped in the soothing sound of crickets and a tender bassline that instantly transported the audience. Michael McGough greeted us in French with a cheerful “Bonjour Paris!”, and the magic began. The first track, “Stranger (To Your Love)”, set the tone with an intimate and comforting atmosphere.

The crowd gently swayed to “Bright Lights”, with the group’s voices hitting straight to the heart. Heart of Gold lived up to their name: every note felt like a gentle caress, every lyric filled with tenderness. Michael paused between songs to repeatedly thank the crowd: “We’re Heart of Gold, from… Thank you so much for being here!” The audience responded with rhythmic applause, fully captivated.

“Sooner” turned up the intensity for a moment, before slowing back down with “Human Nature”, which blanketed the venue in unmatched softness. Michael McGough salue la salle en français d’un « Bonjour Paris ! », et la magie opère. Le premier titre, « Stranger (To Your Love) », nous plonge dans une ambiance intime et chaleureuse.

Les corps se dandinent doucement sur « Bright Lights », les voix du groupe touchent en plein cœur. Heart of Gold porte bien son nom : chaque note est une caresse, chaque mot une tendresse. Matt McAndrew wasted no time, launching into “Frozen” with a commanding “Paris, make some noise!” The crowd sang every word at the top of their lungs, and when Matt let the audience take over a chorus, chills ran down my spine. It was a magical moment of connection.

With “Prayers”, Matt amped things up, yelling, “Let me see your hands! Move, move, move!” and the whole venue came alive. As “Over Me” played, a haze of smoke filled the pit, and I found myself completely lost in the rhythm. The energy soared with “Wish You the Best”, where fans proved their dedication, singing every lyric. Before “Medicate Me”, Matt asked, “Do you want to hear a new song?” The crowd roared in response, delivering a level of passion that only Paris could.

The highlight of the set came when Rory Rodriguez of Dayseeker joined Matt on stage for “Medicate Me”. Their hug at the end sent the audience into a frenzy.
