LSD and the Search for God roll in later that afternoon, all smiles, van packed to the brim, ready to turn an ordinary night into something unforgettable. For us lucky ones, it was a rare chance to see what goes on behind the scenes, long before the music even starts.

LSD and the Search for God débarque dans l’après-midi, le sourire aux lèvres, le camion chargé à bloc, prêt à transformer une soirée normale en moment inoubliable. Pour nous, chanceux, c’était l’occasion de voir ce qui se passe pendant la journée et en coulisses, avant même que la musique ne commence.

Afternoon Backstage

We showed up around 3:20 p.m., the band was laid-back, cracking jokes while unloading their gear. The tech crew, on the other hand, was already in full focus mode: every detail fine-tuned, cables, lights, sound, instruments, you could feel the precision and professionalism behind it all. By 4 p.m., the singer was warming up, her voice echoing through the still-empty venue. Soundcheck kicked off around 4:15, the band locked in, adjusting levels and testing every instrument with care.

Just before hitting the stage, we stole a quick moment in the dressing room to snap a few candid shots. The drummer, a bit camera-shy, stood in contrast to the others, laughing and loose. No weird pre-show rituals here, just straight to the stage when showtime hits.

L’après-midi en coulisses

Arrivés vers 15h20, le groupe est détendu, plaisante en déchargeant le matos. Les équipes techniques, elles, sont déjà concentrées et organisées : tout est calibré au millimètre, câbles, instruments, lumière, son… on sent le sérieux et le professionnalisme derrière chaque détail. À 16h, la chanteuse fait ses vocalises, sa voix résonnant dans la salle encore vide. Les balances débutent à 16h15, et le groupe travaille avec précision, ajustant le son, testant les instruments.

Juste avant de monter sur scène, on profite d’un petit moment pour improviser quelques photos en loge. Le batteur, un peu timide devant l’objectif, contraste avec les autres qui rigolent et se détendent. Pas de rituel bizarre avant le show : juste droit sur scène quand l’heure arrive.

With the openers running late, LSD and the Search for God finally hit the stage about ten minutes behind schedule. But from the very first notes, the crowd was locked in. Heads started nodding, bodies swayed, and the psychedelic lights flickered like fireflies.

Here’s how it all went down:

I Don’t Care – The groove kicks in instantly, heads bobbing, the vibe locked.

Elizabeth – Hands in the air, the crowd completely entranced.

Let It Go – Applause breaks out under hypnotic lights.

(I Don’t Think That We Should) Take It Slow – The singer turns her back to the audience, fully lost in the moment.

Backwards – Dark, moody atmosphere; she pulls out a moon-shaped ring with tiny bells, a cymbal ring, pure mystique.

Without You – The drums hit hard, the crowd moving as one body.

Heaven – The singer kneels near the front row, total magic.

Starshine – Phones light up, the room glowing with euphoric energy.

Les premières parties ayant pris du retard, LSD monte sur scène avec dix minutes de retard. Dès les premières notes, le public est accroché. Les têtes bougent, les corps se balancent, et les lumières psychédéliques clignotent comme des lucioles.

Starshine – Les téléphones se lèvent, énergie euphorique dans la salle.

I Don’t Care – Les têtes bougent dès les premières secondes, l’ambiance est lancée.

Elizabeth – Tout le monde est avec eux, mains levées, public en transe.

Let It Go – Applaudissements, lumière hypnotique.

(I Don’t Think That We Should) Take It Slow – La chanteuse dos au public, complètement habitée.

Backwards – Ambiance sombre et mystérieuse, elle sort son anneau en forme de lune avec clochettes, une cymbal ring!

Without You – Batterie percutante, public bougeant comme un seul corps.

Heaven – La chanteuse s’agenouille près du public, magie totale.

Between songs and after the show, the singer was laughing and dancing with the drummer, still buzzing from the set. We chatted a bit about her other project, Chokecherry, and she told us she’s eager to tour across Europe. It was her first time in France, and she absolutely loved it.

Honestly, it’s nights like this that remind you why we go to shows in the first place.

À la fin de la soirée, tout le monde était survolté. LSD and the Search for God n’a pas seulement joué un concert : ils ont créé une atmosphère, un petit univers au Trabendo où musique, lumière et énergie se sont mélangées.
